About Subwoofer Box Calculator

Last updated

Subwoofer Box Calculator is a planning resource for DIY car-audio boxes. It helps you keep driver requirements, cabinet dimensions and occupied-space deductions in one record. The tools are free to use, print and save without an account.

What the tools work out

The homepage planner checks rectangular cavity and net airspace, or solves depth from a stated target. Separate worksheets handle wedge layout, port length and tuning and ideal sealed alignment.

Each tool states its assumptions. Panel dimensions are not a measured sound result. A small-signal equation does not prove maximum output, safe power or vehicle attachment strength. Unknown displacement or clearance stays unknown instead of becoming zero.

How the equations are checked

The methods use maker manuals and published engineering explanations. Source links, revisions and check dates appear beside the relevant examples. The arithmetic has been worked forward and backward where an inverse relation exists. Wedge offsets have also been checked in their rectangular and zero-thickness math limits.

The tools use formula version 1.0.0. The pages distinguish manufacturers' published figures from computed results. The JL worked guide records two unresolved differences. It keeps those differences visible so the reader can assess the limits of the example.

No physical box build, listening test or laboratory measurement is claimed. The site is not affiliated with the makers cited. A historical manual example does not imply that its model is currently sold or that another driver shares its needs.

Corrections and source records

Use the correction worksheet to record a suspected formula or source error. Include the page, formula version, units and exact model document. Keep the original saved plan when comparing a revised result.

Commercial relationships

If a page uses a commission link, the relationship is identified on that page before the relevant link. Math checks and worksheets do not require a purchase. The affiliate disclosure explains the relationship. See privacy and tool terms for local file handling and the limits of a planning result.
